Play with home made play dough

Play with homemade dough – 100% free from unhealthy chemicals

Introduce a fun science experiment for your kids. One way to boost your kids’ creativity is to let them play around with dough. It is really easy and does not cost so much. They will definitely have a lot of fun! This opens up a lot of possibilities to ask questions, have some great dialogues with your kids, wonder, and explore new ideas. All that science is all about.

Let your kid create the dough

You will need:

  • 4 dl (1,6 cups) of wheat flour
  • 2 dl (0,8 cups) of salt
  • 2 dl (0,8 cups) of water
  • 2 tablespoons of rapeseed oil
  • Optional: household color and hobby colors

Mix the flour, salt, water, and oil into a smooth dough. Just add a little more water if the dough gets too dry, or a little more flour if the dough gets too wet. Then you can color the dough with household color if you like.

Let the fun begin! Form the dough into optional shapes. For more durable shapes, bake them in the middle of the oven for 2-4 hours at 100 °C (212 °F) until they are completely dry (the time varies depending on the size and thickness of the figures). Let cool. Paint the figures with hobby colors.

This is what my son created yesterday:
